Digital cameras, impressions, memories....

Digital cameras are very useful in making memories permanent, BUT do not allow us to form impressions.

The Eiffel tower looks great, especially in the night when the yellow lights suggest that the entire structure is made up of gold. BUT, instead of looking at it and reflecting upon its grandeur, all that I do is to click photos.

This is the bane of digital cameras. The owner shifts focus to making memories that perhaps last longer than the owner's lifetime, but suffers from a lack of personal impressions and memories. A price too great to be paid. It would be better to go and look at it, to wonder, to form impressions than to look at it constantly through the camera's lens and click photos.
