philosophy.......

S wrote this to me:
"theres something in Bhagawat geetha that says "Everything that happens, happens for the good" ....so not to
worry!"

I replied back:

I like the weakness in being
expectant, of having expectation.

for perhaps, perhaps, the joy in getting the
expectation fulfilled compensates the sadness in it
not getting fulfilled. moreover it provides that ray
of hope, to which we can cling on. and though we might
slip and fall down, we again perhaps look for another
ray of hope to cling on.

if everything that happens, happens for the good, then
I should have been a very happy man now.

so the Bhagvad Gita gives a simpler way to lead life, to
leave all expectations and all thoughts of the fruit.

yes, I agree, if one sacrifices the joy of
expectations being fulfilled, then how can there be
sorrow? that is also my complaint with that philosophy
(though I TRY to follow it), that, I have to sacrifice
all joys so that I do not feel sad.

while my aim was to not have sorrows only.
